October 14, 2008

Former MISFITS frontman Michale Graves will celebrate the release of his new live CD, "Illusions Live/Viretta Park", this Saturday, October 18 at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood, California. Come out and hear Michale strum through his solo material and some of his favorite MISFITS tunes.

"Illusions Live 2008/Viretta Park" hits stores on Tuesday, October 21, but will also be available at the show. This 23-song CD features 17 acoustic songs recorded live on April 24, 2008 at Club Bourbon in New Port Richie, Florida and six demos recorded on July 8-9, 2008 in Bucarest, Romania. One of the new songs, "Blackbird", is featured in the upcoming film "Perkins 14". Graves acts in the film, playing the love interest of lead actress Shayla Beesley's character. The film was recently shot in Romania by Massify/After Dark Films. It's being promoted as the "first feature film developed entirely via the Internet." Craig Singer ("Dark Ride") directed based on a screenplay by Lane Shadgett ("Luna Park", "All Lost Souls").

A recent interview with Michale Graves conducted by Romania's Bring The Noise can be viewed below.
