Ex-MEGADETH Guitarist MARTY FRIEDMAN To Tour With Japanese Superstar AMI SUZUKI

October 12, 2005

Former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman's official web site has been updated with the following message:

"It's official! Marty is teaming up with multi-platinum superstar Ami Suzuki for a tour of Japan at the end of this month! The new album from Ami Suzuki, 'Around the World', was released October 12th on Avex.

"Marty has a four-page color spread in the 'Cutting Edge People' section in the current issue of SPA! magazine (Japanese equivalent to Maxim or FHM). Coming out soon is a follow up in Pia magazine, featuring the contest winner who met Marty, as well as a cover story in Sound Designer.

"Studio update: ex-JAPAN bassist Mick Karn put down some bass tracks for a song on Marty's upcoming record. Two more songs will be cut with a 26-piece orchestra this week in L.A. with A-list arranger Tom Harriman.

"Marty will do an autograph session in Tokyo on November 19th.

"A free DVD featuring Marty is available at major music stores in Japan from BOSS. Marty shares stories, experiences, advice, and plays some guitar as well. In this DVD you can get a sneak peek at Marty's new signature guitar coming out in January from Ibanez, as well as great new stuff from BOSS. Also, Marty's most recent full concert with Aikawa Nanase will be broadcast six times on SkyPerfect TV."
