Ex-MEGADETH Axeman MARTY FRIEDMAN Releases 'Exotic Guitar' Guitar-Loop Library

July 8, 2013

"Exotic Guitar" is a new loop library option for adding a live guitar sound to a variety of genres. The loops were recorded by former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman and showcase his signature style of playing ranging from high gain leads and rhythm to clean tone guitar melodies influenced by Japanese and Middle Eastern scales.

All guitars were looped and synced to 140 bpm, making for some interesting possibilities in remixing Friedman's guitar in other electronic genres such as dubstep or trance.

The library includes:

* 24 Lead Guitar Loops
* 11 Rhythm Guitar Loops
* 10 Clean Tone Guitar Loops
* 20 Construction Guitar Loops

An audio sample can be heard in the YouTube clip below.

The "Exotic Guitar" loop pack costs $24.99 and is available as mp3 or WAV files.

Says LoopArtists.com's Jonathan Glass: "Cutting and looping Friedman's recordings has been a great privilege and I am personally excited for the release of this loop pack.

"I've been a longtime fan of Friedman, starting with his CACOPHONY days with Jason Becker and then on to his time as lead guitarist of MEGADETH and his current solo career. He has an amazing ear for the exotic and we decided that very sound would be great in a remix environment. So much of what I like about Friedman's style is heard in these loops."
