Ex-HADES Guitarist LORENZO: RON LIPNICKI Hits The Drums As Hard As Ever

March 31, 2004

Former HADES guitarist Dan Lorenzo has sent us the following update:

"I just talked to (HADES 'Damnation') drummer Ron Lipnicki. He just got back the results of his monthly cat scan [after being treated for testicular cancer]... Everything was perfect, and has been for 8 months now! Ron played on half my 'Cassius King' album and is the drummer in the almost completed 'Frozen Planet' video produced by Jay Bones. I'll throw it up on my web site as soon as it's done. Ron told me, 'I'm always sweating it out the end of the month before the test...but it feels so great to know I'm still fine.' I started jamming some new material with Ron a couple nights ago...he hits the drums as hard as ever, he's SO underrated.

"They've been using a couple of my songs as bumper music on 'The Howard Stern Show' the past couple weeks. Nobody even knows it's us probably, but it's pretty cool. John Kosco, who sang 'Fiend' on my solo CD, can also be heard on the new GODSMACK acoustic CD out last week. His new band DROPBOX begin touring this week as openers for GODSMACK. Their first single, 'Wishbone', crushes."
