Ex-HADES Guitarist DAN LORENZO: New Solo CD Nearing Completion

January 8, 2005

Former HADES guitarist Dan Lorenzo has issued the following update:

"I should finish my third solo CD 'Cut From A Different Cloth' in a couple of days.

"Recording at Crystal Studios went even quicker than normal. I think I finally got more than adequate vocal performances.

"Ron Lipnicki [HADES] recorded his drum tracks to eight songs in about three hours. Some bands got to hire him for a good-paying gig. He's way too good to be working a day job. Ron's on another level. He's been cancer-free for over a year now.

"I wrote ten new songs since my last release ('Nice Being Alone') five months ago.

"This CD has more developed 'songs' as opposed to ideas. A few SABBATH style, lots of riffs.

"Bassist Jimmy Schulman [HADES] co-wrote two songs with me, one is my first instrumental. Plus we did 'Two Timer' by KISS.

"The CD opens with a prank phone call comedians Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson made for me. They call a record store asking for my new CD, which isn't out until next month. They're immature and obnoxious... I guess that's why we get along."
