EVENTIDE Hard At Work On New Material

September 30, 2008

Swedish metallers EVENTIDE have issued the following update:

"EVENTIDE has probably never been so productive and creative as we are at the moment! We've been writing a lot of new material lately and everyone has been involved in the songwriting. There is maybe 10 different song ideas right now, more or less complete songs. We have talked about it, and decided that we want to do a new fullength album! There are also plans for a new site on eventideweb.com, released together with the new CD (hopefully in spring 2009). So if everything goes as planned, and i think it will, 2009 will be a great year for you Eventiders out there!"

EVENTIDE released a promotional CD earlier in the year, entitled "Planet Plague". The effort contains four tracks and was made available for free on the band's web site and MySpace page.

EVENTIDE parted ways the Cartel Media label in 2007.

The group's live video for the song "Standards of Rebellion" can be viewed below.

EVENTIDE's debut album, "Diaries from the Gallows", was released in October 2006 via Cartel Media. The CD was recorded at Los Angered studios in Gothenburg, Sweden.
