EVANESCENCE: 'My Immortal' Video Posted Online

The video for the latest EVANESCENCE single, titled "My Immortal", can be viewed online in streaming Real Media at this location.

The clip, which was shot in Barcelona, Spain, two weeks before guitarist Ben Moody left the band in Germany and flew home to the States (Story#1, Story#2), features Moody looking sullen and depressed, and playing piano by himself in a room that's separated from the rest of the group.

Singer Amy Lee said about the video, "[It's] all about separation...I wanted it to depict real human sadness."

The single version of "My Immortal" is different from the version on the band's triple-platinum major-label debut, "Fallen". The album version is actually a demo that features only Lee and Moody. It was put on the CD by the band's label, against their wishes. The single version features the full band, as well as a string section arranged by David Campbell, father of alternative rocker Beck.
