ERIC CARR's Original KISS Audition Tape Being Auctioned

May 20, 2005

KISS to audition for the band is currently being auctioned via eBay at this location. According to a note from the seller, "The writing [on the tape] is in Eric Carr's handwriting. At the time, his name was Paul Caravello. The tape [photo] has 'Torpedo Girl' which he plays drums along with, 'Shandi' which he sings to and 'You Really Got Me' and 'The Cradle Will Rock', two VAN HALEN songs which he plays drums to. The drums and vocals that he performs are on the right side of the recording and there is a note written by Eric telling the listener where the drums & vocals are.

"This tape is absolutely authentic and has been in my possession since 1987 when I bought it from KISS's former manager's warehouse.

"I listened to it and it works and sounds just fine. This is a rare, one-of-a-kind, KISS collectible. Good luck bidding."

The current bid is $470. The auction ends on May 27 at 6:17 p.m. PDT.
