ENGEL To Film Two Videos In Serbia

December 9, 2007

ENGEL, the Gothenburg, Sweden-based quintet featuring guitarists Marcus Sunesson (ex-THE CROWN) and Niclas Engelin (PASSENGER, ex-GARDENIAN, IN FLAMES),drummer Mojjo (RELEVANT FEW, DRACENA),vocalist Mangan Klavborn, and bassist Michael Håkansson (ex-EVERGREY),will travel to Serbia shortly to film videos for two as-yet-undisclosed songs off the group's debut album, "Absolute Design".

As previously reported, ENGEL — along with GOAT THE HEAD, VIKING SKULL and EVILE — will take part in Metal Hammer's Get In The Ring four-round rock and metal championship. The competition, which will take place on Tuesday, December 11 at London's Forum in Kentish Town, will feature four bands playing four songs in a boxing ring — and the fans get to vote for the winner.

ENGEL is currently streaming its debut album, "Absolute Design", in its entirety on the band's new web site (in the "Album" section).

IN FLAMES frontman Anders Fridén helped his old friend Niclas (both played together in PASSENGER) record demos and assisted in the production of the CD at Dug-Out Studios in Uppsala with Daniel Bergstrand (producer of IN FLAMES, MESHUGGAH).

Watch fan-filmed video footage of ENGEL performing the song "In Splendour" live at the Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton, UK on November 15, 2007:
