EMPEROR Comments On Upcoming European Festival Appearances

After triumphantly headlining the annual Wacken Open Air festival and wrecking London's Astoria last year, EMPEROR has announced two rare appearances at European festivals this summer. The group's schedule is now shaping up as follows:

May 30 - The Metro, Chicago IL
Jun. 01 - BB King Blues Club & Grill, New York NY
Jun. 03 - Key Club, Los Angeles, CA
Jun. 24 Clisson (F), Hellfest
Jun. 30 Helsinki (SF), Tuska Open Air

"The demand for further EMPEROR shows in Europe has been overwhelming", comments guitarist Samoth. "We have been looking at several offers, but have decided to commit to these two festivals. With the success of the festivals we played last year, we're really looking forward to these events."

In other news, Samoth's Gibson Les Paul Special Faded Electric Guitar with Humbuckers (worn ebony finish) is being auctioned on eBay. The guitar was used by Samoth at various EMPEROR, ZYKLON and SCUM live performances, during ZYKLON's "Disintegrate" studio recording sessions, and in the SCUM "Protest Life" video.
