EMINENCE Part Ways With Ex-SEPULTURA Guitarist JAIRO GUEDZ

March 15, 2006

Brazilian extreme metallers EMINENCE have parted ways with bassist Jairo Guedz (former SEPULTURA guitarist) due to "personal reasons" and "scheduling conflicts." "Jairo has been a fantastic musician [in] the band for six years," the group write in a statement. "We would like to thank
Jairo Guedz for his contribution and wish him well in his future endeavors."

EMINENCE are tentatively scheduled to record their new album at the Ferretti Studio in their hometown of Belo Horizonte. The follow-up to 2004's "Humanology" will be recorded with engineer Stanley Soares (SEPULTURA's "Dante XXI") and will include such cuts as "Enemy Inside" and "Written in Dust". Check out a demo version of "Enemy Inside" at this location.

EMINENCE's most recent CD, "Humanology", was released via Switzerland's Timeless Productions. The follow-up to 1999's "Chaotic System" was recorded at Sonic Ranch studios in Tornillo, Texas with veteran producer Neil Kernon (NEVERMORE, CANNIBAL CORPSE) and marks the band's first release with new singer Wallace Parreiras (ex-SOULLESS).
