EDGUY Frontman Comments On Upcoming BANG YOUR HEAD!!! Festival Appearance

September 28, 2006

EDGUY frontman Tobias Sammet has commented on the report that the German power metal band will headline next year's installment of the Bang Your Head!!! festival, set to take place June 22-23, 2007 at Messegelände in Balingen, Germany. Also scheduled to appear are BRAINSTORM and MERCENARY, among many others.

Said Sammet: "It's been seven long years without EDGUY at Germany's prestigious Bang Your Head!!! festival in Balingen. Well, people tried to make the best of it, accepted the tough facts and fought their way through those hard times somehow.

"First of all, we want to take the opportunity to stress how much we acknowledge that this festival has survived hard times even without us. ;-) But every black cloud has its silver lining and there's always light at the end of the tunnel.

"We can proudly announce that by 2007 these hard times will have come to an end. On Friday, June 22nd, 2007 we're going to headline Bang Your Head!!! festival! And you can be assured that we'll work our asses off to make you and ourselves have a great time!"

As previously reported, EDGUY will film a live DVD on November 3 at the Credicard Hall in São Paulo, Brazil. The band is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, "Rocket Ride", which entered the German national album chart at position No. 8 upon its release in late January. The CD also came in at No. 8 in Sweden, No. 25 in Finland, No. 32 in Hungary, No. 48 in Japan, No. 50 in Switzerland, No. 50 in Austria, No. 79 in Norway and No. 81 in Italy.
