ECHOES OF ETERNITY: In Writing Mode

May 1, 2008

California-based, female-fronted progressive metallers ECHOES OF ETERNITY have issued the following update:

"The last two months we've been off the road and writing songs for the next album. We think you'll like that they're faster, heavier, and darker than the 'Forgotten Goddess'. Also, we're bringing an absolutely killer producer on board who we think will bring out our best performances. We're pretty sure you can look forward to picking the album up later this year!

"A few months ago, we partnered up with Riot Rock Management, whose impressive roster consists of bands such as LACUNA COIL. We're all really excited for the plans we have for 2008/2009.

"On a more personal level, the last year was fucking amazing! Our dreams were realized when we hit the road on our first North American tour, with SYMPHONY X and SANCTITY. We kept rolling after that and did a couple more laps around the continent with EDGUY, INTO ETERNITY and LIGHT THIS CITY. And as if that wasn't enough, we did it again with TRAIL OF TEARS and UNEXPECT. (We'd like to thank all those bands for an awesome time. It was great seeing you all rock the fuck out every night. We learned a lot from all of you.)

"It's an amazing feeling to meet people from all over the states, Canada, and Mexico. It was great to be in Francine's [Boucher, vocals] hometown of Quebec and really fun to play in Mexico. Our Mexican friends are some of the most hospitable people we've met and really know how to take care of us! And from New York to Seattle to Atlanta to Houston, we can't fucking wait to get back out to you!!!

"So, we should be hitting the studio in a month or so and we'll be posting video diaries throughout the whole process, so keep checking in. Of course, we'll remind you. Thanks for the awesome year!!"

ECHOES OF ETERNITY's Olle Carlsson-directed video for the song "Voices in a Dream" can be viewed below. The track, which was chosen by the fans via a poll conducted at the band's official MySpace page, comes off the group's debut album, "The Forgotten Goddess", which was released in the U.S. on February 20, 2007 via Nuclear Blast Records (February 2 in Germany). The CD was recorded over a six-month period in Venice, California at RavensWork Studios and produced, engineered, and mastered by Eric Ryan.
