EAT THE DAY's WES BORLAND On Vocalist Search: 'We Are Not Losing Hope'

May 20, 2003

Former LIMP BIZKIT and current EAT THE DAY guitarist Wes Borland has posted the following update to EAT THE DAY's official web site:

"I just thought that I would let everyone know that the news has remained the same for quite a while because there hasn't been much of a change as far as the vocalist situation goes. There are many good/great people out there that we have been in contact with, but none of them have been perfect, and there really isn't any point in moving forward without a perfect match.

"This search has become quite a beast to deal with, but we are not losing hope.

"I'm going to be traveling to London next month to meet and work with some English vocalists. I will also, hopefully, do a bit of press regarding the search for a singer in hopes of spreading the word to some folks that may not have heard about it yet.

"Many of you may have read that Bob Ezrin is on board to produce the record, which is a dream come true for us. I can't tell you how inspiring his presence is.

"I want to thank [MTV.com's] Joe D'Angelo for writing such a flattering article. It's a shame that most of the music that Bob spoke of in the article won't be heard for quite some time. We can't give our best music away before the record comes out.

"Outside of [EAT THE DAY], I've been keeping busy on several other projects (mostly films) with some musicians that I have always wanted to work with, but I can't go into any detail about them yet, but life is good when you get to create something with the people you grew up listening to.

"EAT THE DAY is real. It is going to happen. It may be taking longer than we all thought, but it will come to be. Thank you all for all the support."
