E1 ENTERTAINMENT DISTRIBUTION Signs New Deal With Germany's SPV For North America

E1 Entertainment Distribution has announced a new deal with SPV in North America. E1 will acquire both physical and digital rights for the Germany-based metal label's extensive roster, which includes metal juggernauts MOLLY HATCHET, SKINNY PUPPY, WHITESNAKE and MONSTER MAGNET, among others.

Michael Koch, C.E.O. E1 Entertainment U.S. comments: "The metal genre has become an important aspect of our business and continues to be a growing initiative spearheaded by Scott Givens, VP of Metal, of E1 Music."

Andreas Rennmann of SPV adds: "After a period of restructuring, SPV is back in the U.S. market with a strong catalogue of back titles and new releases. With E1 we're happy to have a partner that offers a professional setup and has the same passion for music."

This deal further strengthens E1 Entertainment Distribution's foray into the metal world. E1 currently distributes Snapper, Regain, Listenable, Rising Force (Yngwie Malmsteen's label),and SST in North America, and Relapse, Metal Blade, Prosthetic, Hopeless, Hevy Devy, and Favoured Nations (Steve Vai) in Canada. E1 will add Sumerian to its label roster for North America starting in March 2010. Additionally, E1 Music recently added guitar icon Zakk Wylde's band, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, to its roster, which also includes SATYRICON, HATEBREED, HIGH ON FIRE, DOPE, IN FLAMES, DOWN (live DVD/CD),OVERKILL, THROWDOWN, VISION OF DISORDER and more.
