DYNAMO OPEN AIR 2002: First Confirmations

CHILDREN OF BODOM, MEDICATION, plus Dutch acts WITHIN TEMPTATION and PETER PAN SPEEDROCK have reportedly been confirmed for this year's installment of Holland's Dynamo Open Air Festival, which will take place on July 14th on the same grounds (in the town of Weert) as the Bospop festival, according to www.festivalinfo.nl. VICIOUS RUMORS and VIO-LENCE, both of whom were mentioned as likely performers at this year's event, will NOT be appearing at the festival, and the now-aborted “Bay Area” stage idea will probably be revisited next year, according to informed sources.

As previously reported, the one-day Dynamo Open Air 2002 will likely feature 15 bands performing to a capacity crowd of 12,000-15,000, in an arrangement that will be similar to the festival's set-up during its formative years in the late '80s.
