DYING FETUS Cancel European Tour

June 9, 2004

DYING FETUS have posted the following message on their official web site:

"We regret to announce the cancellation of our European shows this month. This is the result of problems with our European booking agent: At first we were informed late that they were likely to cancel our dates, and then even more belated they told us the shows could go on, but the arrangements had become substantially degraded and unacceptably questionable. Plane tickets were another factor — this task was disregarded and then dropped on us in the last week, when as everybody knows, availability is scarce and cost is outrageous. All of this really boils down to a matter of good faith, or in this case a lack thereof. We are therefore unable to continue as planned. Our band members need more time to plan for the sake of day jobs and family, let alone getting together our crew and some new merchandise, both of which equal people we had put on hold and eventually dismiss because of not enough advance notice.

"We sincerely apologize to all the bands, and of course our fans and friends who were planning to see us. We were looking forward to visiting Europe again and we share the frustration and disappointment with the last-minute cancellation. We feel you all deserve better than this ridiculous business-related intrusion that is becoming all too common these days.

"For now we are still making every effort to be at Fury Fest and Graspop, plus a few shows immediately prior. We will post confirmation of this option if it materializes.

"We highly anticipate the next time we can see you all again and play some kick ass European shows!"
