DUFF MCKAGAN Talks GUNS N' ROSES Reunion Rumors On 'Opie & Anthony'

March 11, 2011

Duff McKagan (DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED, VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES) was interviewed on the February 24, 2011 edition of the "Opie & Anthony" radio show Sirius XM satellite radio. A clip from the chat can now be seen below.

McKagan vehemently denied rumors that the original lineup of GUNS N' ROSES has been approached to perform at next year's Super Bowl, saying, "That's bullshit. Pure, unadulterated bullshit. But it's a good story. You know, I heard it from my wife! 'Hey, you know the Super Bowl is asking you guys...' I'm like, 'Honey. Really?' Even in my own house, you can't differentiate what's being said on the Internet and the real story."

McKagan's band DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED will lead the lineup of the Monster Energy Showcase night on Friday, March 18 at the South By Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas. Other bands that will appear on that bill include PUDDLE OF MUDD, FILTER, REV THEORY and 10 YEARS.

DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED's new album, "The Taking", will be released on April 19 via Eagle Rock Entertainment. The CD was recorded at a Seattle-area studio with veteran rock producer Terry Date (SOUNDGARDEN, PANTERA, DEFTONES).

Eagle Rock Entertainment will re-release DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED's 2009 album "Sick" in May. This special reissue of the CD also packs a bonus DVD, featuring 11 tracks from a live set at The Garage in Glasgow filmed in December 2008.
