DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED To Support MÖTLEY CRÜE On Select Dates

March 26, 2009

DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED will support MÖTLEY CRÜE on the following European shows:

June 14 - Zenith - Munich, Germany
June 15 - Schleyerhalle - Stuttgart, Germany
June 16 - Funkpark AM - Berlin, Germany
June 17 - Arena - Prague, Czech Republic
June 22 - Sportzentrum - Wettingen, Switzerland
June 23 - Palladium - Cologne, Germany

DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED previously performed with MÖTLEY CRÜE last October at the Loud Park 08 festival in Japan.

Commented MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx: "We had a bad-ass show in Tokyo [Loud Park festival] and there were a ton of cool bands on the bill, but most notably was DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED. [Next day], we headed down to a place in Tokyo and saw Duff play a tiny club... insane. Every song was a 10. I got an EP and it's all I'm listening to right now. If you don't have the EP yet, it's called 'Wasted Heart' and it's a must-have."

Added McKagan: "Nikki Sixx came down to the Quattro show [in Tokyo]. I've known that guy now for over 20 years and that dude is the real article. Let me tell ya, sometimes the last thing you want to do on a night off on a tour is go out to see another fucking band! Nikki not only came down, but he also stayed for the whole show. A class act."

DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED will play additional headlining and festival shows in Europe.

Professionally filmed video footage of DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED's performance at the Loud Park 08 festival — which was held October 18-19, 2008 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama City, Japan — can be viewed below.

Following the arrival of the band's 2008 "Wasted Heart" EP, DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED will release "Sick" on April 7 via Century Media Records. This marks the first full-length studio album in eight years from the band McKagan formed in 1998 and grouped up with again in 2001.

The album's first single, "Flatline", is now streaming at Playboy.com (where Duff also pens the weekly "Duffonomics" financial column). In addition to his new blog on Playboy.com — where McKagan says he hopes to "shed some no-nonsense light on day-to-day money issues" — Duff has penned a two-page "Success" column in the new March issue of Playboy magazine. He also continues to contribute his "Reverb" column to the Seattle Weekly.

LOADED released "Live Episode" (1999) and "Dark Days" (2001),before other commitments meant LOADED were put on the back burner to some extent, although they never split up.
