DROID Singer: 'I Just Love Playing In Different Places Every Night'

November 8, 2007

DROID lead singer James "Buddy" Eason has issued the following update:

"We just got home about a week ago from the 'Bitch We Have A Problem' tour with KORN, HELLYEAH and FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and I miss it sooooooooo much. We became pretty tight with all the bands and will miss hanging out but I am sure we will meet up again soon.

"I would like to thank every single person who came to see us play; we appreciate everyone getting their early and showing us so much love.

"I really hate not being on tour; my mind just goes crazy, hahahaha. I just love playing in different places every night and meeting so many new faces that love music as much as I do.

"We played the Whisky last night — kind of a 'welcome home' show — and it was so fun. Playing at home is always cool, even if it's Hollyweird. If you live here, you know what I mean.

"I really think we have the best fans. For example, our new friends Andy and Kristi were at the Nashville show and saw us for the first time and then flew all the way to Hollywood to watch us play at the Whisky. Now that is a fan, WOW.

"Right now we are waiting to find out about a tour that will bring us back out next month with a band you all know, we are just working on the details right now.

"Once again thank you to all the DROID fans. We will see you again soon."

Possum of Altitude's "Metalogy 101" recently conducted an interview with James "Buddy" Eason. Watch the two-and-a-half-minute clip below.

DROID guitarist Jamie Teissere got into a scuffle with KORN guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer last month at a stop in Little Rock, Arkansas on the Bitch! We Have A Problem tour. According to several reports, Shaffer was apparently drunk when the incident occurred and has taken "total responsibility" for the fight. KORN singer Jonathan Davis told The Pulse of Radio that Shaffer spoke about it himself the next night on stage. "That's how it all came out," he said. "He's all, 'Last night I got really drunk and one of my best friends kicked my ass and I deserved it, and that's why they're not here tonight, and that's that.' He just wanted to get it, so...everything's cool now."

DROID is signed to Shaffer's label, Emotional Syphon Recordings, and released its self-titled debut album earlier this year. Shaffer recently said that he and DROID guitarist Jamie Teissere have been "friends for a long time."
