DREAM THEATER guitarist John Petrucci has posted the following message on his official web site:

“Hi everybody. John here checking in from the road. It's been great to see all of my friends out in the audience each night! The tour has been going very well and most of the shows have been sold out. Thank you. I had a great time in Europe and in Mexico and I'm sure the U.S. tour will be equally as exciting. We have a great new crew and production out here with us this year.

“I brought a few new toys on the road with me. This time around, Mark Snyder outdid himself with my rig. Mark is simply the best. I have three beautiful Mark II C+ heads as well as a few cool effects - an Eventide DSP7000, a T.C Electronics M3000 and M2000. Everything is built into a custom side by side Krizkraft rack. Since we are using in-ear monitors this time, my cabinets are tucked away in custom Krizkraft iso cases. All my friends at Mesa Boogie continue to be incredibly supportive and generous as always. I also have a new Ernie Ball/Musicman doubleneck guitar. The guitar has a 12 string neck on top and a 6 string neck on bottom and I'm using it during Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. The master luthier at Musicman, Dudley Gimple, did an amazing job on this beautiful instrument. Everyone at Ernie Ball rocks! I also started using a Framptone talkbox for the wah effect in Home. It really tickles!

“I'm planning to continue work on my solo album in May. I can't really give you a release date yet as I'm not sure when it will be complete.”
