DREAM THEATER Keyboardist Records Holiday Classics

December 24, 2007

DREAM THEATER keyboardist Jordan Rudess has recorded a set of four holiday classics as an online feature release, entitled "Jordan's Holiday Seasonings". These solo piano performances were recorded December 20 in Jordan's living room on his beloved Steinway D, and recorded direct to Korg's amazing MR1000 1-bit recorder.

As a special one-time offer, Jordan is offering a free download of the song "The Little Drummer Boy" from the his album "Christmas Sky" — available in his new download store.

"Christmas Sky" features Jordan's unique style of piano and harp-like improvisations, all based on classic Christmas melodies. Included is an original piece written especially for the season.

Jordan Rudess's solo CD, "The Road Home", was released earlier in the year.

Having been influenced by classic progressive acts such as GENESIS, YES and GENTLE GIANT, Rudess revisits some of the great songs from those bands with his own special Jordan Rudess touch. He is assisted on "The Road Home" by a great group of guests, such as Nick D'Virgilio (SPOCK'S BEARD),Kip Winger (WINGER),Rod Morgenstein (WINGER),Ed Wynne (OZRIC TENTACLES),Bumblefoot (GUNS N' ROSES),Marco Sfogli (JAMES LABRIE),Ricky Garcia (LAFEE) and several others.
