DOUG CHAGNON's 'Heavy Metal Comedy'; Video Available

April 22, 2007

Doug Chagnon, a Boston-based comedian who works his love of hard rock/heavy metal into his set, has posted an eight-minute video clip of his performance — dubbed "Heavy Metal Comedy" — at the Comedy Studio in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Watch it at YouTube.

According to his bio, Doug Chagnon is an original comedian whose fresh writing style assures audiences they will never see the same show twice.

Doug has performed at clubs throughout New England and New York. His witty, political undertone helped land Doug a spot at the Comedy Connection in Boston during the Democratic National Convention, sharing the stage with Paul Mecurio of "The Daily Show".

A regular at the Comedy Studio in Cambridge where he is a past comic-in-residence, Doug has opened for national headliners such as Gary Gulman and Marc Maron. Doug was also selected for the 2006 Boston Comedy Festival. Doug also spent time as a member of the Tribe, an artist collaborative situated in Cambridge and Boston. As part of the Tribe, Doug's play, "Reindeer Union", enjoyed a three-week run at the Devanaughn Theater in Boston. His improv troupe, Improvmosis, was selected to perform in the prestigious Del Close Marathon at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City.
