DOPE: New Video Interview Available

Bay Area Backstage conducted an interview with members of DOPE prior to the band's March 6, 2009 concert at the Fillmore in San Francisco, California. Watch the 12-minute chat below.

DOPE's long-awaited fifth album, "No Regrets", is available for streaming in its entirety on TuneLab Music.

Released today (March 10) via E1 Music (formerly KOCH Records), "No Regrets" features a guest appearance by Zakk Wylde (OZZY OSBOURNE, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY), who lent his signature guitar squeals to the song "Addiction".

Frontman Edsel Dope, alongside Virus, has revitalized DOPE's lineup on "No Regrets". Joining them on bass and backing vocals is Tripp Tribbet, formerly frontman of TWISTED METHOD, who also happens to be the younger brother of MUDVAYNE/HELLYEAH guitarist Greg Tribbet. On drums, DOPE recruited former GENITORTURERS drummer Angel Bartolotta.

DOPE has released four albums since signing with Epic in 1998, and has sold over 500,000 CDs. Their most recent CD, 2005's "American Apathy", debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart as well as #1 on the Billboard Independent Album chart.

DOPE's video for the song "Addiction" can be viewed below. The clip was helmed by directors Kevin Custer (KINGDOM OF SORROW, TESTAMENT) and Dale "Rage" Resteghini (TRIVIUM, HATEBREED) in New Jersey.
