DISMEMBER Cancels U.S. Tour

November 30, 2006

Swedish death metallers DISMEMBER have cancelled their previously announced West Coast tour with GRAVE "due to financial reasons." According to a posting on DISMEMBER's web site, "the band is really sorry for this and has already started working on a new U.S. tour for the spring of 2007 to make up for the lost dates."

The trek, which was originally slated to be headlined by ENTOMBED, was scheduled to kick off December 1 in Hollywood, California.

As previously reported, Night of the Vinyl Dead has announced plans to release the vinyl version of DISMEMBER's "Hate Campaign" LP. Strictly limited to 500 hand-numbered copies, "Hate Campaign" (originally issued in 2000) comes in splatter vinyl with new artwork on cover, color insert and two rare bonus tracks.

DISMEMBER's latest album, "The God That Never Was", was released in February via Regain Records. The follow-up to 2004's "Where Ironcrosses Grow" was once again produced by drummer Fred Estby at Sami Studio in Stockholm. The group's current lineup is completed by Matti Kärki (vocals),David Blomqvist (guitar),Martin Persson (guitar) and newcomer Tobias Christiansson on bass.
