DIR EN GREY To Release 'The Rose Trims Again' DVD In May

Japanese experimental rockers DIR EN GREY will return to the U.K. for this year's Download festival, taking place at Donington Park June 12-14.

"We were truly ecstatic when we got word that we were to play Download this year," comments guitarist Kaoru. "It's a festival we have always dreamt of being on and now we are more than honoured to actually be part of it. We got to meet fans from all over the U.K. on the last Kerrang! tour in January and the overall response was more than we ever hoped for. That is also why we are really excited about playing the U.K. again. If not for the fans. we won't be here, thanks go out to all of them and also to our crew members! Download is going to be the first rock festival for DIR EN GREY in the U.K. and we hope to leave something in your hearts with our show."

On May 4, 2009, a brand new DVD will be available from DIR EN GREY through Okami Records. The DVD, entitled "The Rose Trims Again", captures the band's stunning live performances from their 2008 tour in Japan.

Comments Kaoru: "Through this DVD you will see that DIR EN GREY is having a pretty solid run with things now. In the concert featured here, we only played a few songs from 'Uroboros', but the band already has a firm grasp on the world of 'Uroboros'. It'll be an interesting watch. It's different from our last DVD, 'A Knot Of', so check it out!!"
