DIESEL MACHINE Bassist Makes 'Incredible Gains' Following Near-Fatal Accident

DIESEL MACHINE guitarist Patrick Lachman (also in HALFORD) has posted the following update on the condition of DM bassist Rich Gonzales, who was placed in a critical-but-stable condition at a Los Angeles hospital after broadsiding a car while riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle late last month:

"My apologies for the delay in an official announcement, but obviously my concerns have not been on the web. For those who have not heard, our friend and bassist Rich Gonzales was in a near-fatal motorcycle accident on August 24th near his home in Los Angeles. His list of injuries is too long and too unnerving recite, but we are amazed at his progress. His recovery is going steadily forward. He has made incredible gains in the last two weeks for someone who was basically dead on scene. He wouldn't be in my band if he wasn't a bad motherfucker though. He's one of my best friends in the world and it hurts me deeply to see him go through this, but he has his family, his bandmates, and countless friends behind him 1000%. Knowing that will hopefully help him get back to where he was and beyond. 'That which does not kill me only makes me stronger, but I've got to survive this Torture Test...' Amazingly, Rich has survived and now he will only be getting stronger. Best wishes Rich — we love you bro."
