DEVOURMENT, DISFIGURED To Perform At San Antonio's THE GOREGROWLER'S BALL

August 24, 2007

DEVOURMENT, DISFIGURED and FUNERAL RITES are among he confirmed bands for "The Goregrowler's Ball", a two-day underground metal festival set to take place November 3-4 at The Roadhouse Saloon in San Antonio, Texas.

Named after its organizer, Aaron "The GoreGrowler" Mendiola, this concert was originally just going to be a regular show to be played on his 30th birthday, but it has quickly become a two-day, thirty-band extravaganza with lots of local hype.

Mendiola has been into the extreme metal genre since 1992 and has been in four bands: MALEFICENT, PUTRILAGE (CD out on Forever Underground),EXULCERATE (CD out on Comatose Music),and his current project ENGAGED IN MUTILATING (working on recording a demo). He also dove into the scene with his own fanzine publication when only 15 years old.

This festival marks 15 years of being involved in the music scene that has changed his life, and also marks a new chapter of his life by reaching the age of 30. Every band asked to play has known him through shows, business, chats, email, parties, festivals, and other social gatherings.
