September 23, 2011

Director David Brodsky of MyGoodEye who has previously collaborated with AS I LAY DYING, SUICIDE SILENCE, KATAKLYSM, ARSIS, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER and STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, among others spent the last couple of months working on the video for the song "Juular" from the DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT. The band's mainman Devin Townsend stated about the clip, "[Brodsky] is a true artist and really went the extra mile!"

You can now watch the "Juular" video below.

Former EMPEROR frontman Ihsahn (real name: Vegard Sverre Tveitan) joined DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT on stage on August 6 at the Vagos Open Air festival in Lagoa de Calvo (GDC),Portugal to perform the song "Juular".

The studio version of "Juular", featuring Ihsahn on guest vocals, can be found on "Deconstruction", the third in a series of albums to be made available under DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT moniker, which came out on June 21 (one day earlier internationally) via InsideOut Music.

Ihsahn previously stated about his collaboration with Townsend, "I have been a longtime fan of Devin and his work, and when he asked me to do some vocals for his 'Deconstruction' album, I said yes right away.

"Devin is one of those few uncompromising artists who goes anywhere with their music, wherever that takes them. Nothing but respect!"

"Deconstruction" and "Ghost" complete Devin's tetralogy album concept a great journey through Townsend's different states of musical moods which he started in 2009 with the albums "Addicted" (2009) and "Ki" (2009).
