April 12, 2009

DEVILDRIVER frontman Dez Fafara was interviewed by Eric Blair of "The Blairing Out With Eric Blair Show" on the "black carpet" of last Tuesday night's (April 7) Epiphone Revolver Golden Gods Awards at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles. Watch the chat below. Dez also presented the "Golden God" award to MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine at the event, which will be broadcast on MTV2 as a one-hour special debuting Saturday, May 2.

DEVILDRIVER filmed a video for an as-yet-undisclosed track from the band's new album, "Pray For Villains", this past Thursday (April 9) with director Nathan Cox (QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, MARILYN MANSON, LINKIN PARK). DEVILDRIVER will also headline this summer's "Thrash And Burn Tour", which will kick off on July 22 and run through August 30. A European tour with BEHEMOTH and GOJIRA will follow in October.

"Pray For Villains" was recorded at Edge of the Earth studios in Los Angeles with producer Logan Mader (FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, GOJIRA, DIVINE HERESY) and is scheduled for release in late July.

DEVILDRIVER recently re-signed with Roadrunner Records after previously issuing three full-length albums through the label. In addition, the band has secured a new management company in the shape of Davis Entertainment Group.
