DESPISED ICON: New Song Posted Online

March 15, 2007

The Montreal-based deathcore six-piece DESPISED ICON has made its new song "In the Arms of Perdition" available for streaming on its MySpace page. The group recently shot a video for the track with director Jean-Philippe Bernier. This clip is said to be "a stunning performance-based offering that puts emphasis on the band's frantic live intensity." Look for it to make its debut this spring.

DESPISED ICON recently completed work on its highly anticipated sophomore Century Media release with acclaimed producer/former guitarist Yannick St-Amand (BENEATH THE MASSACRE, ION DISSONANCE, NEURAXIS). The new effort was mixed by the renowned Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, MEGADETH) and is currently scheduled for a May 22 release.

DESPISED ICON's undying work ethic throughout 2006 earned them a rabid and loyal underground following through high-profile tours alongside such esteemed acts as HATEBREED, BEHEMOTH, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, NAPALM DEATH, EXODUS, MORBID ANGEL, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD and KRISIUN. The group's unrelenting stage presence was unmatched as their latest album, "The Healing Process", was hailed as a stunning slab of sheer aggression backed with impeccable time changes that quickly raised the bar for their peers.
