DEREK SHERINIAN Interviewed On 'Black Night Meditations'; Audio Available

The "Black Night Meditations" radio show on Portsmouth, New Hampshire's WSCA 106.1 FM conducted an interview last month with keyboardist Derek Sherinian's (ex-DREAM THEATER, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN). The chat is now available for streaming at this location.

A record-release party for Derek Sherinian's new solo album, entitled "Molecular Heinosity", will be held on Thursday, April 30 at 7 p.m. PST at Musicians Institute (1655 McCadden Place) in Hollywood, California.

The event is fee and open to the public. Derek will be there shaking hands and signing CDs.

Zakk Wylde (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY),Tony Franklin (THE FIRM, WHITESNAKE),Brian Tichy (BILLY IDOL, OZZY OSBOURNE),Virgil Donati and Rusty Cooley (OUTWORLD) are among the guest musicians who appear on "Molecular Heinosity".

As previously reported, Derek Sherinian is looking to start a new progressive metal band. He says, "I have the players in mind that I will be using [but] I will be searching high and low for a singer. Please email me at [email protected] with the subject title 'SINGER.' In other news, Sherinian has announced plans to release an anthology/best-of CD/DVD around Christmas time to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of his debut solo record, "Planet X".
