DEMOLITION RECORDS Signs North American Deal With WARCON ENTERPRISES

August 9, 2006

Demolition Records, one of the UK's leading independent rock labels, has inked a North American deal with Warcon Enterprises. The link-up will see all of Demolition's releases distributed by Fontana/Universal in the U.S., and EMI in Canada.

Ged Cook, Demolition Records owner, said "We've been searching for some time now for the right deal in North America that would benefit both the label, and more importantly our artists. With the expertise of both Bob Chiappardi and Kevin Lyman on board, we feel we have a great team to aid Demolition's growth across the Atlantic."

North American label management will be handled by Bryan Mechutan, a highly respected industry veteran whose past includes work with both Roadrunner and TVT Records, helping shape the careers of bands like NINE INCH NAILS, TYPE O NEGATIVE and BIOHAZARD.

Warcon Enterprises was started by Bob Chiappardi and Kevin Lyman.

Bob Chiappardi is the founder and CEO of Concrete Marketing, the largest independent music/lifestyle marketing company in the music industry. He has worked with such artists as PANTERA, GUNS N' ROSES, PEARL JAM, AEROSMITH, VAN HALEN, METALLICA, JIMMY BUFFETT and LINKIN PARK.

Kevin Lyman is best known as the producer and creator of the hugely successful Vans Warped Tour — the longest-running music and extreme sports festival tour in the world. This past year, Lyman introduced his latest brainstorm: the Taste Of Chaos Tour, featuring some of the biggest bands in the metal/ post-hardcore genre today.
