DEMOLITION HAMMER: 'Necrology: A Complete Anthology' Due In September

August 27, 2008

Century Media Records has issued an apology to the long-defunct New York thrashers DEMOLITION HAMMER over "some misinformation" printed within the liner notes to CM's forthcoming DEMOLITION HAMMER compilation, "Necrology: A Complete Anthology".

Due on September 16, "Necrology: A Complete Anthology" contains the band's entire three-album discography across two discs.

Stated the label: "It has come to our attention that lead singer (and founding member) Steve Reynolds was mistakenly referred to as John Reynolds in the liner notes and then as Steve Reilly in the credits for the album 'Time Bomb'. We sincerely apologize for this oversight."

Commented DEMOLITION HAMMER guitarist Derek Sykes, "As to the allegations [printed within Marco Barbieri's liner notes] that we 'didn't have time to contribute' to this anthology, this is sadly misguided. In fact, DEMOLITION HAMMER was quite involved in the initial realization of the project. But ultimately, due to qualitative differences, we decided to let our past work with Century Media speak for itself. We are very honored that DEMOLITION HAMMER still has a growing fan base so long after our releases and tours. In fact, we'd like to thank everyone who kept and continues to keep the legacy of this band alive over the years. It truly means a lot to us and we can't thank everyone enough."
