DEFTONES Settle On Album Title?

July 12, 2006

DEFTONES have reportedly settled on "Saturday Night Wrist" as the title of their new album, tentatively due on October 3 via Maverick Records.

DEFTONES drummer Abe Cunningham confirmed to Billboard.com earlier in the year that the band has finally finished recording its new CD. Among the many tracks being considered for the new album is "Beware of the Water".

With regards to the new material's musical direction, Cunningham told Billboard.com, "Actually, if you look at our last record [2003's self-titled effort], I refer to it as 'Dark Days' because that's basically what it was. It's kind of an incomplete record from my viewpoint. I think it's a good record [with] a lot of good songs but the new album, from start to finish, is a very complete record and has all of the extremes that we like. I'd say it's kind of hard."
