DEFTONES Cancel Remaining European Tour Dates: 'We Must Return Home To Our Loved Ones'

November 15, 2015

DEFTONES have canceled the remaining dates on their European tour just two days after the deadly attacks in Paris that targeted the venue where the band had been scheduled to play.

Some of the DEFTONES members were at EAGLES OF DEATH METAL's concert at Bataclan just prior to several armed gunmen storming the venue and killing 89 people in attendance. In addition, some of the DEFTONES family members were just blocks away during the attack.

Said DEFTONES in a statement: "We have been to Paris many, many times, and we've had some of the most amazing shows in this tremendously electric city.

"With this being said, and with our deepest condolences, love and respect to everyone affected, and to all of us who share this planet, we must return home to our loved ones. We will return when appropriate."

DEFTONES are canceling a total of five concerts, including those in Paris, Germany and the United Kingdom.
