DEATH METAL ALLSTARS: Video Footage From Japan Available

December 11, 2008

Fan-filmed video footage of DEATH METAL ALLSTARS' November 30, 2008 concert at Doors in Hatsudai, Japan can be viewed below (clips uploaded by "Sioru03").

DEATH METAL ALLSTARS — which consists of members of OBITUARY, DEICIDE, EXHORDER, SADUS and DIMMU BORGIR — played five shows in Japan beginning on November 28 in Yokohama and ending on December 6 in Osaka.

Musicians that took part in the trek are as follows:

Kyle Thomas (EXHORDER, ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY) - Vocals
Ralph Santolla (OBITUARY, ICED EARTH, DEICIDE, DEATH) - Guitar
Jack Owen (CANNIBAL CORPSE, DEICIDE, ORDER OF ENNEAD) - Guitar
Tony Laureano (DIMMU BORGIR, 1349, NILE, ACHERON) - Drums
Steve DiGiorgio (TESTAMENT, SADUS, ICED EARTH, DEATH) - Bass

Santolla previously stated about how DEATH METAL ALLSTARS came together: "This project/band came about when a promoter asked me if I could put something together to fill some dates he had in Japan. So I called some of my bros, and we put it together. The idea for the name came from the promoter, because we are playing songs from some of the bands we've done (DEICIDE, OBITUARY, CANNIBAL CORPSE, etc.). And to answer the question I've gotten a lot of emails about, yes, this WILL be an ongoing band. We've already started writing songs . . . Obviously, when we get our album together, we won't be called DEATH METAL ALLSTARS. Maybe TONY AND THE DRUNKS. I have no idea. It's gonna be metal, but not death metal. That's all I really know so far."

"Legions Of Death" (EXHORDER):

"Heaven And Hell" (BLACK SABBATH):
