DEATH ANGEL, FORBIDDEN Announce Second San Francisco Date

January 18, 2008

Bay Area metal veterans DEATH ANGEL and FORBIDDEN have added a second show at Slim's in San Francisco, California. The two groups will now play the venue on Thursday, February 28 — one day before the previously announced Slim's date, which has now apparently officially sold out. Tickets for the new concert go on sale this Sunday, January 20 at www.slims.com.

DEATH ANGEL will release its new album, "Killing Season", on February 26 in the U.S. and February 29 in the rest of the world. The CD was mixed at Studio 606 by Nick Raskulinecz and mastered at Bernie Grundman Mastering by Brian Gardner.

DEATH ANGEL's last CD, "The Art of Dying", was released in May 2004 through Nuclear Blast Records. The group's first studio album since 1990's "Act III" was recorded at SF Soundworks studios in San Francisco, California with producer Brian Joseph Dobbs (VOIVOD, MANMADEGOD).

FORBIDDEN will reunite for several shows in 2008. Russ Anderson (vocals),Craig Locicero (guitar),Matt Camacho (bass) and Glen Alvelais (guitar),along with special guest drummer Gene Hoglan (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, TESTAMENT, DEATH, DARK ANGEL) will bring something that so many of their peers, old-school fans and especially the younger generation of fans that never got to see FORBIDDEN live have been asking for: a FORBIDDEN reunion!
