DAVE MUSTAINE: I'm Interested In Touring With ANTHRAX, EXODUS And TESTAMENT

June 6, 2004

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"I have started looking at some bands to take out with me on this U.S. run, and yes I am interested in ANTHRAX, EXODUS, and TESTAMENT, but EXODUS apparently don’t want to play with TESTAMENT.

"Also, the ticket counts for the bands I take out from their last tours and their record sales will ultimately be the deciding factor for my Special Guest and Support Groups.

"I joked with Nick Menza the other day and said, 'How about your band, and Junior's band F5, and Marty's band all go on tour and then we can all do an encore together?'

"We had a good laugh."

MEGADETH's new album, "The System Has Failed", is scheduled for release on September 14 through Sanctuary Records. "The System Has Failed" was recorded at Phase Four studios in Tempe, Arizona and is set to feature cover artwork by Ed Repka. Joining Mustaine on the recording are drummer Vinnie Colaiuta and bassist Jimmy Sloas. Additional lead guitar tracks were laid down by former MEGADETH guitarist Chris Poland.
