DAVE GROHL To Guest On New TROUBLE Album?

February 5, 2004

Former NIRVANA drummer (and current FOO FIGHTERS frontman) Dave Grohl will reportedly be making a guest appearance behind the kit on the forthcoming TROUBLE album, "Seven", tentatively due later in the year.

Grohl, a longtime TROUBLE fan, will be returning the favor to TROUBLE frontman Eric Wagner, who recently recorded a guest appearance on one track for Dave's metal side-project PROBOT. The self-titled album, which features additional contributions from such metal luminaries as Cronos (VENOM),Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, ex-SEPULTURA),Lemmy (MOTÖRHEAD) and Snake (VOIVOD),is scheduled for release next Tuesday (Feb. 10) through Southern Lord Records.

As previously reported, PROBOT's live-in the-MTV-studios rendition of the album cut "My Tortured Soul" will air on this weekend's "Headbanger's Ball" on MTV2. Joining Grohl for the taping (which took place on Jan. 28) were Wagner, guitarists Wino (HIDDEN HAND, ST. VITUS, THE OBSESSED, SPIRIT CARAVAN) and Greg Anderson (THORR'S HAMMER, GOATSNAKE, SUNN0))), Southern Lord Records owner),and bassist Nick Raskulinecz (PROBOT, FOO FIGHTERS mixer). Also seen hanging around the studio was VOIVOD singer Snake.

The whole crew was interviewed by "Headbanger's Ball" host Jamey Jasta for this special PROBOT-themed episode, which will feature airings of videos from many of the illustrious PROBOT vocalists' bands, including CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, THE OBSESSED, MOTÖRHEAD, TROUBLE, SEPULTURA and VOIVOD as well as the PROBOT clip for "Shake Your Blood" (featuring Lemmy and Wino).
