DARKANE Guitarist Featured In Swedish Movie

May 6, 2007

DARKANE guitarist Christofer Malmström has posted the following message on his web site:

I'm back! First of all, I am very proud to announce that I am now officially endorsing Seymour Duncan guitar pickups! I'm very excited about this, and I'm still deciding on which models I will use but it's gravitating towards the SH-6b Duncan Distortion Humbucker in the bridge and an SH-1n '59 Model Humbucker in the neck. I'll let you know when it's decided and installed!

"I am appearing in a movie that is up in the theaters in Sweden right now. My part is very small, but still... The movie is entitled 'Hata Göteborg' (Hate Gothenburg). It's quite a funny name for metalheads, but it has nothing to do with the Gothenburg metal scene, but about soccer hooligans. I play a hooligan for the Helsingorg soccer team that fights against the Gothenburg hooligans. The movie is about some young kids trying to find themself and you will only see my head a few seconds in total and I don't have a line, but I had a lot of fun shooting it. I don't know about international release yet and I doubt that it will ever happen, but if you live in Sweden I recommend this movie!"

DARKANE's upcoming DVD was shot in May 2006 in the band's hometown of Helsingborg, Sweden. The band last year completed a European tour in support of their fourth album, "Layers of Lies", available now on Nuclear Blast Records. It is the follow-up to the band's third studio CD, "Expanding Senses", which was released in 2002.
