DARK NEW DAY On New Album: 'We Want More Than Anything To Get This Damn Thing Out'

January 31, 2008

DARK NEW DAY — the band featuring Clint Lowery (guitar; ex-KORN touring member, SEVENDUST) Troy McLawhorn (guitar; EVANESCENCE, ex-DOUBLE DRIVE),Clint's brother Corey Lowery (bass; ex-STEREOMUD, STUCK MOJO) Brett Hestla (vocals; ex-CREED, VIRGOS MERLOT) and Will Hunt (drums; EVANESCENCE, ex-SKRAPE, TOMMY LEE) — has issued the following update:

"Just want to let everyone know we're working on a release date [for the second DARK NEW DAY album]. We're still getting a few things organized (artwork, band pics, singles, remixes, etc.). We get a little frustrated with the process too, believe me. It'd be different if we had put out a record a year ago or, for that matter, two years ago. We do realize that it's frustrating for all of you who have been so patient with us. We're doing everything we can to speed this up. We want more than anything to get this damn thing out and we're real close. We want to wait till all the artwork's done to redo our MySpace and official DARK NEW DAY site. We want it to be right. The second we get a release date we'll stream some new video stuff and put up a new song for all that have been waiting. We've been through a lot to get to this point so if it takes just a bit longer to do it right, then why not?!"

Songtitles set to appear on the new DARK NEW DAY CD include "Simple", "Hail Mary", "Fiend", "Outside" and "Vicious Thinking".

DARK NEW DAY released its debut album, "Twelve Year Silence", in June of 2005. The disc featured the single "Brother".
