DANZIG: 'Blackest' Touring Lineup Confirmed

March 29, 2003

DANZIG have confirmed the group's lineup for the "Blackest of The Black" festival mini-tour, which is set to consist of two dates in early May alongside SUPERJOINT RITUAL, NILE, OPETH, LACUNA COIL and BEHEMOTH.

DANZIG's lineup for the two shows will consist of the following:

Glenn Danzig – vocals
Tommy Victor (PRONG) – guitar
Johnny Kelly (TYPE O NEGATIVE) – drums
Jerry Montano (ex-THE DEADLIGHTS, NOTHINGFACE) - bass

Tommy Victor and Jerry Montano are believed to have committed themselves to DANZIG's touring lineup for the foreseeable future, while Kelly will likely be replaced once he hits the road with TYPE O NEGATIVE in June in support of the band's hotly anticipated new album, "Life Is Killing Me".

Confirmed dates for the "Blackest of The Black" tour are as follows:

May 02 – Phoenix, AZ @ Mesa Ampitheatre
May 03 – Los Angeles, Ca @ Universal Ampitheatre

If these shows are successful, a full-length "Blackest of The Black" U.S. tour will take place in November, featuring a completely new lineup of bands (with DANZIG as the headliner).
