Danish Bands To Wage 'Metal Battle'

May 11, 2004

Unsigned Danish metal bands TR3PLE P and KINK have announced plans to stage a "metal battle" in Vega (Copenhagen) on Friday, June 4. "The Metal Battle is inspired by the American rap battles, and is a way of competing against each other by each band constantly claiming the stage," the two groups explain in a joint press release.

"The concept has been created to make the metal underground scene more interesting for metal and non-metal fans. Instead of having people waiting in front of a stage for the certain band they know, the Metal Battle combines the music of both bands so the fans constantly experience variety and intensive energy.

"The Metal Battle is now being realized for the first time in Copenhagen. It takes place in Lille Vega Friday the 4th of June. Every metal and non-metal fan is encouraged to experience this original live show. We guarantee a memorable evening with cool bands, variety, and a kick-ass show! This is a new element contributed to the scene of live music in the underground, so don't miss this opportunity to see the Metal Battle between TR3PLE P and KINK."

Both TR3PLE P and KINK recently completed demo recordings with producer Anders Lundemark (KONKHRA) at his Starstruck studio.
