DØDHEIMSGARD: New Song Posted Online

January 30, 2007

A brand new DØDHEIMSGARD (DHG) track, entitled "Vendetta Assassin", has been posted online on the band's MySpace page. The track comes off the Norwegian band's forthcoming album, "Supervillain Outcast", due in Norway on March 26 and the rest of the world in April via Moonfog Records.

DØDHEIMSGARD will debut some of the new material live at their February 3 appearance in Halmstad, Sweden. Headlining the event is the Swedish black metal band SHINING.

In a recent interview with Antenna's Lars Lolk, DØDHEIMSGARD's Kvohst stated about the new CD, "With this album I think there are a lot of elements from each album — it's like "Monumental Possession" with the various vocal styles — Vicotnik and Thrawn's vocals also playing a big part in the new album's sound — and with the music it is a slight return to the more "Satanic Art" days. There is a very 'metal' structure to the songs. Perhaps fans of 666 International will be disappointed at first, but if they are real fans of the band, they will understand that DODHEIMSGARD never make the same album twice. Also it is DHG now — a new era for the band. We are not trying to emulate the past or relive any of the old albums. There has been a lot of bad luck during the production of this album but I think out of it has come the finest DODHEIMSGARD album ever."
