CYPHER Parts Ways With Bassist, Announces Replacement
Dutch death/thrash metallers CYPHER have parted ways with bassist Jerry "Pioko" Orie. Jerry will be returning to his home country, Surinam, to pursue business opportunities and promote metal music. He served the CYPHER clan for three years. His last appearance with CYPHER will take place on Friday, September 7 at The Cave in Amsterdam.
Jerry's replacement in CYPHER will be Joost van der Graaf. Joost is probably best known for being the vocalist and bass player of CREEPMIME, one of Holland's leading metal bands of the mid-90s.
CYPHER's debut album, "Darkday Carnival", was released last October through Rusty Cage Records.
