September 27, 2004

CRISIS drummer Josh Florian "busted his appendix" Sunday night (Sept. 25) and will be unable to join the group on their national tour with KITTIE and OTEP, according to a press release issued by CRISIS' record label, The End Records. The band are urgently seeking a replacement for the trek, which kicks off tonight in Farmingdale, NY. "All we can cover is expenses for the road," the label write in the press release. "The tour goes through the Northeast, Midwest then the West Coast through mid-November. The band is currently in New York City."

[UPDATE: Tino Losicco from EPOCH OF UNLIGHT will fill in for Josh until Florian is able to return to his regular duty]

CRISIS are touring in support of their latest album, "Like Sheep Led To Slaughter", which came in May through The End/Children Of Rage Records. The follow-up to 1997's "The Hollowing" was recorded at Desert Moon Studios in Anaheim, Ca. with legendary producer Billy Anderson (CLUTCH, BRUTAL TRUTH, ORANGE GOBLIN, NEUROSIS, SLEEP). Singer Karyn Crisis, in collaboration with Steve Conard (CRISIS' webmaster),conceived the artwork for the CD package. Guest vocals on "Study In Cancer" were provided by Daniel Dismal of CREMATORIUM.
