CRADLE OF FILTH Ready To Unleash 'Damnation And A Day'

February 19, 2003

CRADLE OF FILTH's brand new CD, "Damnation And A Day", will receive a U.S. release on March 25 through the Red Ink/Epic label, it was announced today. It is slated for release in Europe on March 10 through Sony Music.

Produced by Doug Cook (ANATHEMA, CATHEDRAL) and mixed by Rob Caggiano (DRY KILL LOGIC, ILL NINO, RA, 36 CRAZYFISTS) and Steve Regina (DAYS OF THE NEW, DREAM THEATER, DRY KILL LOGIC) for Scrap 60 Productions, "Damnation And A Day" "destroys boundaries and basically smashes the mold of what defines extreme," according to an official press release. "Simply stated, CRADLE OF FILTH has transcended stereotypical genre and birthed a multi-faceted musical work of art."

The album is the band's ninth studio album and the first for Sony Music, and for this occasion, CRADLE OF FILTH "have pulled all the stops," continues the press release. "Clocking in at 77 minutes, the band has implemented the edgiest musicianship and blackened elegance of their careers to date. Topping the achievement is the flowing film score quality accomplished through the employment of a 40-piece orchestra & 32-piece choir found in Budapest, Hungary."

CRADLE OF FILTH will co-headline the second stage at this year's Ozzfest, which is scheduled to kick off on June 28 in San Antonio, Texas.
