COURAGEOUS Parts Ways With Bassist, Seeks Replacement

June 2, 2007

Frankfurt, Germany-based metal band COURAGEOUS has parted ways with bassist Jürgen Wieland. According to a press release, "within the last few months, the five-string player suffered lots of troubles in joining job, family and music responsibilities. So he felt that there was no other way than to leave. All of the band feel the deepest regret about his decision."

Commented vocalist Chris: "Jürgen kept us posted all the time about his thoughts, so we were already prepared since some months to receive this slap. Nevertheless, to find ourselves in front of the matter settled once and forever seems to be hard stuff to us. We are not only losing one of the most talented bass player, who influenced in a very important way the sound of our music, but also a very trustful person and a real good friend. Attributes which are hard to find in music business."

COURAGEOUS is currently seeking a replacement bassist (male/female). Interested parties can contact the band at [email protected].

COURAGEOUS' next live appearance will take place on Friday, June 8 at WestWerk 141 in Osnabrück, Germany. Also scheduled to appear are GUN BARREL, PREDATOR and SOLAR FRAGMENT.
