CORETEZ Part Ways With Guitarist, Seek Replacement

February 3, 2004

CORETEZ, the new group featuring former ILL NINO members Roger Vasquez (vocals) and Marc Rizzo (guitar, also in SOULFLY),have posted the following update on their official web site:

"Wow, it's been a while since an update. Please forgive us. I know that a lot of you are wondering what the hell has been going on with us so we will start by letting you know that [guitarist] Marek [Niemiec] is no longer in the band. He has left to pursue his career and we support his decision 100% we wish him the best of luck in the future. So right now we are looking for a guitar player and a percussionist. The line up change is the reason why we canceled the last bunch of shows that we had scheduled. We sincerely apologize to everyone we disappointed but not playing those gigs. We were really looking forward to them We want to especially apologize to Opus and the guys from G-SOUL who went out of their way to hook us up. We hope to make those shows up as soon as we are ready. Right now we have NO shows scheduled but there is some good news. Our CD EP is mixed and ready to go to the pressing plant. We are very pleased to announce that Stillborn Records will be helping us with the distribution and that we will have the CD available on this site for purchase by the middle of February. We will also have merchandise and other stuff for sale so keep checking back. Once again sorry for canceling the shows but right now we have to get our line up together. Take care."
